Job summary

Knife River Corporation is seeking an experienced Loader Operator for our Asphalt Plant in Caldwell, ID. You will run plant equipment to produce asphalt, ensure quality and meet daily orders while promoting safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities include daily checklists, coordination with drivers, dispatch, and QC, and maintaining stockpiles. Requires 2+ years of experience, a GED/HS diploma, and a valid driver’s license. We offer full benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of asphalt plant operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work day and night shifts; shifts may vary by project needs.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel if required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Communicate safety compliance and environmental requirements per company standards.
• Operate plant equipment to mix/produce asphalt to meet specs.
• Ensure consistent production to fulfill daily orders.
• Offload hot asphalt oil and manage materials.
• Handle multiple tasks and coordinate with plant operators, truckers, QC and dispatch.
• Complete daily checklists, journals, and reports.
• Maintain stockpiles and monitor liquid levels.
• Maintain good attendance and safety on site.
