Job summary

Knife River Corporation - Mountain West, based in Idaho Falls, is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to manage asphalt plant operations and ensure material quality meets specifications. You will work with plant staff to maintain steady production and support corrective actions as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, requiring at least two years of asphalt plant experience, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work day/night shifts in various weather

Qualifications

• Proven work history of two (2) years or more experience in asphalt plant operation.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to work day and night shifts and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and promote safety compliance and environmental requirements.
• Operate plant to ensure material quality and compliance with specifications.
• Ensure consistent production to meet daily orders.
• Offload hot asphalt oil.
• Maintain attendance and safety records; assist in asphalt orders and reporting.
• Perform daily checklist, journal, and reports.
• Communicate with plant operators, truckers, quality control and dispatch.
• Identify and resolve issues to maintain operations.
• Maintain stockpiles and liquid levels.
