Job summary

Knife River Corporation in Idaho is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to run and maintain the asphalt plant safely and efficiently, manage daily plant personnel schedules, and liaise with customers on orders and needs.

Minimum two years in asphalt plant operation is required; candidates must monitor multiple plant systems, work in high spaces, and possess strong math skills. Ability to travel between plants and work nights/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years experience in asphalt plant operation.
• Ability to monitor multiple plant systems for quality and profitability.
• Capable of working in high and confined spaces.
• Strong math skills and statistical awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain asphalt plant in a safe and efficient manner.
• Manage schedules/hours for all plant personnel.
• Communicate daily orders and needs with customers.
• Track inventories of incoming and outgoing products.
• Participate in quality control and safety programs.
• Operate equipment and perform plant maintenance as directed.
