Windsor Kingstowne, a Windsor Communities property in Alexandria, VA, is seeking a Service Technician II to perform routine maintenance, handle work orders, and prepare units for new residents, with on-call responsibilities and weekend work.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience, are proficient with hand and power tools, and possess HVAC, plumbing, and electrical skills. EPA Type II and CPO certifications are preferred or achievable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Strong experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using smart devices and property management software.
• EPA Type II preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date.
• CPO preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Maintain property curb appeal and all pool/spa/fountains.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours; Yardi is used for tracking.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents; painting and repairs.
• Respond to emergency on-call repairs; weekend work required.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Ensure safety and compliance with PPE and safety policies.
• Manage inventory and request substitutions via Service Manager.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and rounds.
• Interact professionally with residents and vendors; collaborate with the property management team.
