Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for the 2nd shift to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment across the facility. You will document actions, respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance according to the schedule.

The role requires standing for long periods and lifting 50–70 lbs while adhering to safety protocols. Applicants should have at least 2 years of maintenance experience or completion of an Industrial Maintenance Training program

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or graduation from an Industrial Maintenance Training program.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Must be willing to work on 2nd shift and stand 8–10 hours.
Able to lift 50–70 lbs and perform physical tasks in damp/hot/cold environments.
Must wear PPE and obtain Tyson operator's license if required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets while ensuring safety and Tyson policies.
Provide corrective and preventive maintenance per schedule.
Document actions taken to fix equipment problems.
Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergencies.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
Assist other mechanics and perform janitorial duties if required.
