Job summary

System One is looking for an Experience Designer Lead to drive UX strategy and hands-on design across our digital servicing platforms in a hybrid contract-to-hire role. You will balance strategic direction with execution, mentor designers, and align roadmaps with business goals.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in banking/finance UX, strong Figma skills, and experience with Jira/Confluence/SharePoint. You will shape design systems and collaborate across teams to deliver customer-centric outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UX design, design strategy, or human centered design in banking/finance.
• Experience leading design teams and mentoring designers.
• Strong ability to map user flows and prototype interactions.
• Portfolio and resume submission required.

Responsibilities

• Balance design strategy with hands-on execution to align with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas.
• Identify problems and goals, map user flows, and prototype interactions.
• Promote relationships across teams with shared roadmaps and a unified customer-focused vision; guide and mentor designers with objectives and timelines.
• Design frameworks, systems, and components for consistent UX across touchpoints.
• Apply UI/UX skills to an established product and ensure continuity from prototypes to end-user experience.
• Monitor development, solicit design approvals, and support user observation and research to understand customer challenges.

Work Status: Hybrid role, 3 days in office.

Duration: Contract to Hire

Years Of Experience Required: 8+ Years

Industry Background: Banking / Finance - User Experience, Design Strategy, or Human Centered Design background.

Function of the Group: User experience for digital servicing solutions

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Balance design strategy with hands-on execution to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs across multiple product areas


• Identify problems and goals, map user flows, and prototype interactions


• Promote relationships across teams, through shared roadmaps and a unified vision for customer-focused outcomes; guide and mentor designers by creating design objectives, goals and delivery timelines


• Design frameworks, systems, and components that aim to deliver consistent UX across a range of user touchpoints


• Apply your UI and UX skills to an established product


• Drive continuity between UX prototypes and end-user experience; monitor and review development execution and design approvals


• Support user observation, research, and analysis to understand the challenges of our customers


• Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions
