Job summary

The Twelve Thirty Club in Nashville is hiring an Expeditor to join our fine-dining team. You will ensure accurate, timely orders and maintain high service standards in a high-volume setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience, excellent English communication, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Weekend or holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Exceed standards to provide a superb fine-dining experience.

• Prioritize orders correctly.
• Assist in final preparation and garnishes.
• Communicate with food runners and servers to ensure timely delivery.
• Relay kitchen-to-FOH information regarding guest requests.
• Keep expo line clean and organized.
• Signal BOH stations for 30-minute line drills.
• Show excellent written and spoken communication with urgency.
• Work closely with chefs and BOH staff.
• Assist kitchen in daily prep for service.

What you'll do:

You love food and can create a welcoming environment. You have at least 1 year of recent experience in a high-volume restaurant. You have excellent English communication skills and the desire to work as part of a team. You are comfortable standing for long periods of time and can lift to 40 pounds. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours). Availability to work weekends or some holidays.

What You'll Do:

• Exceed standards to the highest level of expectation to ensure a pleasant fine dining experience
• Know and recognize every dish on the menu, its ingredients, proper plating and ticket time
• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
• Assist in final preparation and garnishes
• Communicate effectively with food runners and servers to ensure food is delivered properly and timely
• Relay important information between kitchen and front of house staff as it relates to guest complaints or requests
• Keep the expo line and surrounding area clean and organized
• Effectively signal BOH stations for every 30 minute line drill
• Superior communication skills (both written and spoken) and a strong sense of urgency
• Works closely with the chef's and BOH staff
• Assist the kitchen in daily preparation for service
