Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Expedited Logistics Coordinator for a fully onsite role in Belleville, MI. You will manage time-critical shipments from order entry to delivery, coordinating with customers, carriers, and internal teams in a high-energy call-center-like environment.

The position emphasizes problem-solving, multitasking, and delivering exceptional customer service while following SOPs and maintaining accurate communication and documentation.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates welcome with proactive attitude.
• Background in transportation, logistics, dispatch, freight forwarding, or customer service preferred.
• Experience with time-critical shipments or NFO is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor time-critical and expedited shipments from order entry through final delivery.
• Track shipments and ensure milestones, status updates, and timely communication.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to support execution.
• Provide proactive shipment updates and respond to questions and changes quickly.
• Follow SOPs for order management, tracking, communication, and escalation.
• Identify delays or issues and elevate to stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and communicate information between shifts.
• Handle high volume of calls, emails, and tasks in a call-center style environment.
• Respond to new orders and adjust to changing priorities for time-sensitive transportation.
• Collaborate with team and leadership to maintain service and on-time performance.
