Job summary

Landstar in Jacksonville is seeking an Expedited and Cold Chain Support Specialist to train and support our network of agents and internal teams. You will help grow Landstar’s expedited and temperature-controlled transportation services by providing guidance and ongoing support to our agents and internal teams.

The role requires strong communication, data analysis in Excel, and the ability to manage onboarding, build relationships with drivers and service providers, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
One year of customer support experience in a service-related business.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
One year of experience in transportation operations, expedited freight, cold chain transportation, or transportation pricing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver training on Expedited and Cold Chain services to internal teams and external partners; maintain training records.
Identify and onboard Expedited and Cold Chain opportunities with agents and employees.
Coordinate onboarding with cross-functional Landstar departments.
Build relationships with operations, dispatchers, and drivers.
Develop relationships with service providers and their teams.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve service concerns; escalate as needed.
Provide timely support via phone and email to stakeholders.
Distribute service provider notifications to relevant teams.
Create and update training materials and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What work will you perform?

As an Expedited and Cold Chain Support Specialist, you’ll help grow Landstar’s expedited and temperature-controlled transportation services by providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to our network of independent agents and internal teams. You’ll help identify new business opportunities, support successful customer onboarding, and build strong relationships with agents, service providers, and operations teams. Essential Responsibilities

Deliver in-person and virtual training on Expedited and Cold Chain services, processes, and systems to internal teams and external partners. Maintain accurate training records.
Support Landstar agents and employees in identifying, developing, and onboarding Expedited and Cold Chain business opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional Landstar departments to coordinate onboarding activities and ensure a smooth, successful transition for new business.
Build and maintain relationships with operations teams, dispatchers, and drivers to encourage collaboration and support business objectives.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Landstar’s primary service providers and their service teams.
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve Expedited and Cold Chain service concerns, escalating issues when appropriate.
Provide timely, professional support through inbound and outbound phone calls and email communications to internal and external stakeholders.
Communicate and distribute service provider notifications to the appropriate internal teams and external partners.
Create, update, and maintain training materials, procedures, and other supporting documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Experience And Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One year of customer support experience in a service-related business.

Preferred Experience And Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
One year of experience in transportation operations, expedited freight, cold chain transportation, or transportation pricing.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data and perform calculations.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret freight data, reports, and related information accurately.
Ability to prioritize customer service requests and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills, including accurate recordkeeping, documentation, and note-taking.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain processes and information clearly.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to determine when issues require escalation.
Professional demeanor and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
