Job summary

Darktrace, a global leader in AI-driven cybersecurity, is seeking a Solutions Engineer on the Expansion Team to drive growth within existing customers by guiding technical expansion from discovery to value realization.

You will collaborate with Expansion AEs and Technical Success Managers, design scalable solutions across hybrid/multi-cloud environments, and translate capabilities into measurable ROI while engaging security, IT, and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in Solutions Engineering, pre-sales, or technical account roles (cybersecurity/SaaS).
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and security architectures.
• Familiarity with SOC tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR) and complex environments.
• Proven ability to expand accounts, design solutions, and influence stakeholders.
• Strong communication, analytical, and consultative selling skills.
• Fundamental understanding of AI technologies (LLM, ML, NLP).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; relevant Cloud/Security/AI certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead upsell, cross-sell, and renewals through technical strategy.
• Identify expansion opportunities and technical whitespace.
• Build credibility with Security, IT, and Cloud stakeholders.
• Conduct discovery of environments, threats, and gaps.
• Translate insights into new use cases and expansion opportunities.
• Align solutions to ROI and business outcomes.
• Design deployments across core platform products and cross-platforms.
• Advise on integrations and architectural trade-offs.
• Align solutions to SOC workflows and reduce alert fatigue.
• Engage executives with tailored messaging; communicate business value.
• Partner with AEs on forecasting and strategy.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Professional Services, Support, Product, and Engineering.
