Job summary

Faribault Public Schools is seeking an Out-of-School Time (OST) Coordinator to lead high-quality programs outside the traditional school day, supporting student development.

Under the direction of the Youth Programs Coordinator, you will plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate before/after school, summer, and non-school day activities, ensuring alignment with district priorities, safety, and inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of positive youth development and equitable practices.
• Experience coordinating youth programs and partnerships.
• Ability to analyze data and report on program outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and improvement of expanded learning programs aligned with district priorities and grants.
• Develop engaging academic, enrichment, leadership, and career readiness opportunities.
• Coordinate schedules, enrollment, transportation, meals, field trips, and daily operations.
• Develop systems to promote student engagement, belonging, leadership and positive youth development.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff.
• Provide ongoing professional development and implement continuous quality improvements.
• Develop staff schedules and ensure effective program coverage.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, student-centered team culture.
• Collaborate with school administrators and counselors to identify students who benefit from OST.
• Coordinate programs supporting academic achievement, career readiness, and workforce readiness.
• Promote programs building relationships, confidence and leadership among students.
• Collect and analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and guide improvements.
• Ensure programs provide equitable opportunities for diverse needs.
