Job summary

Somerville Public Schools seeks an OST Coordinator of Programs and Partnerships to oversee non-school hours programming district-wide, coordinating with school leaders, the City, and community partners to identify needs and centralize operations through a digital registration system.

You will implement a proactive communications plan, ensure equitable access, and collaborate with SPS Communications to reach all families while guiding staff and partners in program evaluation and data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years’ experience coordinating youth out-of-school-time programs with evidence-based practices.
• Experience with curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Experience working with municipalities and city systems preferred.
• Experience in managing program budgets preferred.
• Experience presenting to community members, committees, and boards.
• Experience using online registration/program management platforms.
• Experience in diverse urban K-12 educational settings is preferred.
• Proven system-building, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in public speaking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate OST programs and partnerships during the school year and vacations.
• Serve as a liaison between school leaders, the City, and community partners to address student needs.
• Help centralize OST operations via a centralized system and data management.
• Develop and implement communications strategies with SPS Communications Department.
• Support program evaluation, data collection, and reporting to the Steering Committee.
• Oversee space planning and safety considerations with Facilities for partner providers.
• Coordinate district summer programming in collaboration with OST director and Somerpromise.
