Aspen Dental in Clearwater, FL is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support patient care and ensure smooth daily operations. You will assist doctors, manage operatory setup, and help educate patients on post-treatment care.

Responsibilities include sterilization, charting, and maintaining infection control while training others and complying with OSHA/HIPAA guidelines. This role offers full-time hours and a structured training program.

Qualifikationen

• Current Dental Assistant license or state registration as required.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Sterilization and infection control techniques knowledge.
• Maintain annual CE requirements as specified by state.
• State certification in expanded functions as required.

Aufgaben

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory and ensure staff are trained.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, suction lines, autoclave, and compressor.
• Tray and operatory setup for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors at a proficient level.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and Aspen safety requirements.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies post-treatment.
• Complete denture relines and temporary crowns as applicable.
• Monitor and assist in management of laboratory cases.
