Job summary

Aspen Dental in Buford, GA is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support doctors and the office team with chairside assistance, sterilization, and patient care.

You will handle patient flow, take radiographs, assist during procedures, and help maintain equipment and supplies while adhering to OSHA and HIPAA requirements. Competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry proficiency.
• Infection control and sterilization techniques knowledge.
• State-required radiology (x-ray) certification.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• State expanded functions certification as required.
• Maintain annual CE as specified by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist the doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Follow OSHA regulations and HIPAA guidelines; ensure staff training and compliance.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Provide patient instructions for oral care following procedures.
• Complete denture relines and assist with temporary crowns.
