Job summary

Aspen Dental seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Baton Rouge to support daily patient care and assist doctors across procedures. You will ensure clean, efficient operatory setups, maintain equipment sterilization, and uphold OSHA/HIPAA standards while delivering quality patient interactions.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of experience, radiology certification, and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Support patient charting and maintain productive patient flow.
• Prepare operatory rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and Aspen safety requirements.
• Take dental radiographs and provide post-procedure oral care instructions.
• Order and maintain supplies within practice budget.
• Train staff on patient handoffs and infection-control procedures.
