Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license or state registration as required.
• State radiology (x-ray) certification required.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years of dental assistant experience.
• Proficient at chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• CE requirements maintained per state.
• Expanded functions certification as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain patient flow.
• Assist doctors during a variety of procedures and prepare operatory.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists; ensure sterilization.
• Follow safety and HIPAA guidelines; maintain OSHA standards.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and educate patients on post-care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care following procedures.
• Order and maintain supplies within the practice budget.
• Perform various office tasks as necessary.
