Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license/registration as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization techniques.
• Maintain annual CE requirements as specified by state.
• State certification in expanded functions as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Maintain patient flow and charting; educate patients.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
• Take dental radiographs and provide oral care instructions.
• Order and maintain supplies; support lab cases.
