Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Elkins Park, PA is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

We offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and continuing education. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Thursday schedule and rotating Friday/Saturday duties.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant with at least 1 year of experience.
• Active PA x-ray license and EFDA certification.
• Familiarity with dental instruments and procedures.
• Experience with Dentrix preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Maintain sterile, cheerful environment and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supplies in each operatory.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• EFDA required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Thursday and rotating Friday/Saturday
• Salary Range:$26.00-$30.00/hour
