Job summary

The Smilist in Langhorne, PA is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (Pediatrics) to join our growing practice and support pediatric dentists in delivering high-quality care.

You will prepare patients, assist during procedures, and maintain a sterile, welcoming environment. PA x-ray and EFDA licenses, pediatrics experience, and Dentrix familiarity are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• PA x-ray license is required.
• EFDA license is required.
• Pediatrics experience is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Dentrix experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain operatory supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (Pediatrics) to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Must have a PA x-ray license
• EFDA license required
• Prior experience with pediatrics strongly desired
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Thursday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$25.00-$30.00/hour
• Location:Langhorne, PA
