Job summary

The Smilist Dental in West Chester, PA seeks an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team. The role includes preparing patients, assisting dentists, and maintaining a sterile, friendly clinic environment to ensure high-quality care.

Ideal candidates hold EFDA and PA x-ray license, have dental instrument knowledge, and preferably Dentrix experience. Full-time position with growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1 year of dental assistant experience minimum.
• EFDA required.
• Active PA x-ray license required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Keep a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory; order/replenish as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• EFDA required
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Thursday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$25.00-$30.00/hour
• Location:West Chester, PA
