Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Elkins Park, PA seeks a reliable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will support doctors, prepare patients, and maintain a clean, friendly operatory to help deliver high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience, an active PA x-ray license, EFDA certification, and strong communication skills. Dentrix experience is a plus, with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during procedures and prep patients.
• Maintain sterile, clean, and cheerful operatory.

• Prepare tray setups and monitor supply levels in each operatory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• EFDA required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Thursday and rotating Friday/Saturday
• Salary Range:$26.00-$30.00/hour
• Location:Elkins Park, PA
