Job summary

The Smilist in Langhorne, PA is seeking a reliable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. You will support dentists during procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure patient comfort from check-in to treatment completion.

Ideal candidates have EFDA and PA X-ray licenses, at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, and strong teamwork and communication skills. This full-time role offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant (at least 1 year).
• PA X-ray license required; EFDA license required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns and promoting the doctor’s qualities.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk; prepare tray setups and manage supplies.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• Must have a PA x-ray license
• EFDA license required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

Position Details:

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday - no weekends!
• Salary Range:$25.00-$30.00/hour
• Location:Langhorne, PA
