Job summary

Kids Dental Brands is hiring for an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at our Maumee, Ohio office. This full-time role requires EFDA credentials with CDA/RDA training and X-ray certification. You will work chair-side, assist with patient care, radiographs, and lab duties in a kid-friendly practice.

Qualifications

• EFDA credentialed or in EFDA track with state approval.
• X-ray certification is required by state licensing.
• 1+ year EFDA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists and support staff in clinical duties.
• Work chair-side with dentists and perform patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees
• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA andEFDA course completion (as mandated per state requirements), X-ray certification
• Additional Certifications:Coronal Polishing certification is a plus
• Experience: 1+ years of experience as an EFDA
• Job Type:Full-time

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $32.00 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday-Friday
