Job summary

Kids Dental Brands in Maumee, OH is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our kid-friendly practice. You will work chair-side with dentists, take dental radiographs, prepare and sterilize instruments, and help with patient education.

Certification as a Dental Assistant is required, with X-ray certification considered a plus. This full-time, on-site position runs Monday through Friday and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• CDA or RDA certification required.
• No prior experience required but certification is mandatory.
• On-site, full-time schedule Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists and provide patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of teeth and other related procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

At a Glance

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA.
• Additional Certifications: X-ray certification, Sealant polishing & Nitrous Certification is a plus.
• Experience: No previous experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification
• Job Type:Full-time

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: Starting at $22.00 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay: up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule: On-site. Monday - Friday
