Job summary

Kids Dental Brands is hiring a Dental Assistant for our Maumee, OH office. The role involves chair-side patient care, radiography, instrument preparation, and basic lab duties in a kid-friendly setting.

No prior experience is required, but a valid Dental Assistant certification is required. X-ray and other certifications are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with a friendly team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA.
• Additional Certifications: X-ray, Sealant polishing & Nitrous are a plus.
• Experience: No previous experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists and perform patient care and laboratory duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of teeth, assist with extractions and fillings.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Record patient medical history, take vitals as needed.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-procedure care instructions.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: Starting at $22.00 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay: up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule: On-site. Monday - Friday
