Kids Dental Brands in Maumee, Ohio is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our energetic team. The role involves chair-side patient care, assisting dentists, taking impressions, radiographs, and performing sterilization in a kid-friendly clinic.

We require CDA or RDA certification and EFDA coursework with X-ray certification; Coronal Polishing is a plus. Full-time, on-site schedule, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDA or RDA certification and EFDA course completion; X-ray certification required.
• 1+ years of EFDA experience.
• Coronal Polishing certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees.
• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings.
• Teach patients oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Ask about the patient’s medical history and monitor blood pressure and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide patients with post-treatment instructions for oral care.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $32.00 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday-Friday
