Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a highly motivated Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) in Aurora, CO. The EDDA will work hands-on with doctors, educating patients on dental treatment and oral health, while maintaining efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish/English.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDDA Certification preferred.
• 3 years'experience in the dental field preferred.
• X-ray certification and Coronal polish certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors at chair-side with all aspects of dental treatment.
• Perform advanced dental assisting procedures (coronal polish, sealants, crown prep, denture impressions, cord packing, Class II fillings).
• Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on general oral health as directed by the doctor.
• Present treatment plans to patients based on doctor recommendations.
• Complete X-rays and intra-oral photos efficiently.
• Record patient charting and notes in the digital chart.
• Provide ongoing support and training to teammates.
• Maintain inventory and supplies across dental areas.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies.
• Perform additional duties as requested by doctors.

• Assists the doctorsat chair-side with all aspects of dentaltreatment
• Performs advanceddentalassistingtreatmentincluding coronal polish, sealants, crown prep, denture impressions and adjustments,packing cord,andClassII fillings
• Sterilize,disinfect,and prepareinstruments andequipmentfor patienttreatment
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare asdirected by thedoctor
• Presenting treatment to patients based onDoctorrecommendations
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients in an efficient and timely manner
• Record patient charting and all the doctor’s notes in the digital patient chart asdirected
• Provides continuous support, training, and feedback toteammates
• Store and maintains inventory and adequate supplies in all dental workareas
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Performadditional advancedduties as requested by Doctors or Office Manager

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish/English
• High School Diploma or GEDrequired
• EDDA Certificationpreferred
• 3years' experiencein the dental field preferred
• X-ray certification
• Coronal polish certification
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Mustbe highly skilled, trained, andhave superior knowledge of dental clinical operationsandterminology
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor andpatients
• Must haveawarm,friendly, outgoing personality and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment and lendsupport, as a team player,to teammatesas needed.
