Job summary

RisasDental and Braces is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our team. The EDDA will work closely with doctors chair-side, educate patients, and support a fast-paced practice focused on quality care.

The role emphasizes bilingual communication (Spanish/English), clinical accuracy, and efficiency, with opportunities for professional growth and cross-training across dental specialties.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish/English.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDDA Certification preferred.
• 3 years' experience in the dental field preferred.
• X-ray certification.
• Coronal polish certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be highly skilled and have knowledge of dental clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors at chair-side with all aspects of dental treatment.
• Perform advanced dental assisting including coronal polish, sealants, crown prep, denture impressions and adjustments, packing cord, and Class II fillings.
• Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare instruments and equipment for patient treatment.
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare as directed by the doctor.
• Present treatment to patients based on Doctor recommendations.
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures efficiently.
• Record patient charting and doctor notes in the digital chart as directed.
• Provide continuous support, training, and feedback to teammates.
• Store and maintain inventory and supplies in all dental work areas.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA) and Risas policies.
• Perform additional advanced duties as requested by Doctors or Office Manager
