The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) seeks an Exhibits & Meetings Coordinator to support exhibits and internal meeting management for the Convention & Meeting Planning Division at AVMA Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL. The role includes onsite support during the AVMA Convention and VLC, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related administrative or meeting planning experience, not-for-profit association experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills with ability to deliver clear messages.
• Highly organized with strong project planning and time management skills.
• Professional appearance and proactive, collaborative team player.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours as needed.
• Proficiency with Windows, spreadsheets and databases; ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for exhibits and internal meeting management for the Convention & Meeting Planning Division.
• Assist with exhibit management, logistics and scheduling for meetings held at AVMA offices.
• Provide onsite support during the AVMA Convention and VLC.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
