Job summary

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) seeks an Exhibits & Meetings Coordinator to join the Convention & Meeting Planning team in Schaumburg, Illinois. You will support exhibits and internal meeting management, coordinate logistics and scheduling for AVMA meetings, and provide onsite support during the AVMA Convention and VLC.

Up to 10% travel. Required: a BS/BA or equivalent, 5+ years in admin or meeting planning, strong communication, and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of related administrative or meeting planning experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management ability.
• Professional appearance and proactive, collaborative team member.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and work outside normal hours as needed.
• Familiarity with not-for-profit associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support exhibits and internal meeting management for the Convention & Meeting Planning Division.
• Assist with exhibit management, logistics and scheduling for meetings at AVMA offices.
• Provide onsite support during the AVMA Convention and VLC.
• Collaborate with division team to plan events and ensure smooth execution.
