Job summary

Welltower, based in the United States, seeks an executive to lead enterprise risk management and insurance strategy across the organization. This leader will oversee global risk financing, complex insurance programs, and captive structures while partnering with Legal, Finance, Investments, Asset Management, and Operations to protect assets and optimize total cost of risk.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressively responsible experience in risk management and insurance.
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, law, or a related field.
Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or master's) and professional designations preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute enterprise risk management and insurance strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
Oversee design, placement, renewal, and administration of all insurance programs and risk transfer.
Lead captive risk financing and governance to optimize capital efficiency and program sustainability.
Advise senior leadership on enterprise risk, insurance strategy, exposures, and risk financing decisions.
