Job summary

San Diego Mesa College, part of the San Diego Community College District, invites applications for the Vice President of Administrative Services. The role leads financial, facilities and operational functions, oversees the college’s annual operating budget, and guides district-wide initiatives.

The position requires strategic leadership, knowledge of state education codes, and collaboration with administrators, faculty, and unions.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations and act decisively.
• Excellent oral and written communication with diverse constituencies.
• Proven leadership in developing and managing a large, diverse program area.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with administrators, staff, contractors, and support personnel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise preparation and expenditure of the college’s annual operating budget and purchasing controls.
• Oversee facilities management, capital projects, and district coordination during construction.
• Manage technology services and coordinate campus safety and emergency preparedness programs.
• Lead planning activities and participate in district/college committees; advise the College President.
