Job summary

San Francisco Community College District is seeking a Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration to lead the district’s financial and business operations. The role involves directing budgeting, auditing, accounting, purchasing, facilities, IT, and related departments to support the district’s mission.

The incumbent provides strategic planning, long-range financial planning, and oversees internal controls, reporting, and compliance with state and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a field related to finance or business administration; equivalency considered for foreign degrees.
• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field; advanced study preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the District's finance and administrative functions.
• Oversee annual budget development, reporting, and revenue projections.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure internal control compliance.
• Direct financial asset management, bond issuance and investments.
• Supervise Accounts Payable and ensure timely disbursements.
• Manage employee benefits programs and retirement plan interfaces.
• Oversee enterprise financial systems and Chart of Accounts.
• Represent the District at state and national meetings on budget/finance issues.
• Promote customer service, innovation, and inclusive practices.
