Job summary

YMCA Leadership and Learning Center in Atlanta seeks a strategic Vice President of Total Rewards to design and oversee compensation, benefits, and incentive programs for a nonprofit, mission-driven workforce. You will lead a small team, partner with senior leaders, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive pay equity and performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, management, business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience developing and implementing compensation programs.
• 6+ years of direct people management experience.
• Proficiency with HCM systems (Workday preferred).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; strong analytics.
• CCP or similar certifications preferred; Workday experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
• Partner with executive leadership to design programs that attract, retain and engage diverse talent.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory requirements, and benchmarking to inform strategy and ensure competitiveness.
• Design and administer salary structures, job classifications, and incentive programs with internal equity.
• Lead executive pay strategy and compliance with nonprofit best practices and IRS regulations.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, and reward surveys, analytics, and governance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the total rewards team; build analytics capabilities in Workday.
