Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Director of Executive Thought Leadership to own how our firm’s senior leaders are seen and recognized in the market. This individual contributor role sets the strategy for executive positioning across global platforms, working with corporate communications and marketing to bring the vision to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• 7–10 years in communications, executive positioning, or thought leadership.
• Proven track record building executive thought leadership platforms and content programs for senior leaders.
• Experience applying criteria-based frameworks to prioritize communications investment against business strategy.
• Experience managing external agency partnerships with clear reporting and value standards.
• Understanding of earned media, owned content, and speaking work together to build reputation.
• Awareness of AI and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) shaping corporate reputation.

Responsibilities

• Own the firm-wide strategy, publishing cadence, and operating framework for executive positioning across senior leadership.
• Manage the function’s framework and outcomes with cross-functional partners under the Head of Corporate Communications.
• Oversee intake and selection of leaders into the program with criteria-based prioritization.
• Run regular reviews to keep the cohort aligned with changing business priorities.
• Direct strategy for speaking, media, and owned content across platforms.
• Direct ghostwriting and content development with partners to maintain a cohesive narrative.
• Provide coaching on on-stage and on-camera performance and internal visibility.
• Partner with lines of business and functions to elevate leaders on flagship internal forums.
• Collaborate with digital and AI teams to enable self-service tools for the broader workforce.
