Job summary

New York Life Insurance seeks an Executive Recruiter to lead senior-level searches across Technology, Financial services and corporate leadership roles. The role partners with senior management to deliver talent solutions with an executive-search mindset and market mapping expertise.

The position manages a focused portfolio (5–8 searches), conducts comprehensive research, and guides offer strategy with internal stakeholders. Hybrid work arrangement is supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of recruiting experience with executive searches in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience sourcing Technology Executives and strong knowledge of the technology landscape.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end executive recruiting for senior‑level roles with a limited portfolio (5–8 searches).
• Partner with senior leaders to define role requirements, success profiles, and search strategies.
• Conduct market mapping to identify target organizations, talent pools, and passive candidates.
• Use data and market insights to inform sourcing strategies and executive positioning.
• Develop bespoke candidate engagement and long-term relationship building.
• Assess leadership capability, functional expertise, culture fit, and potential.
• Advise executives with market context and recommendations throughout searches.
• Lead offer strategy and negotiate complex compensation for executives.
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, Compensation, and other stakeholders on offers.
• Consider and manage external search firms to align with strategy.
• Maintain high-touch candidate experience and conduct post-search analyses.
