Job summary

New York Life seeks an experienced Executive Recruiter to lead senior-level searches across Technology, Financial Services, and corporate leadership. You will partner with senior management to define requirements, map the market, and engage passive candidates, delivering high-impact talent solutions with discretion and credibility.

You will manage 5–8 complex searches, assess leadership potential, and guide offers in collaboration with HR partners, Legal, and compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of recruiting experience
• Experience sourcing and recruiting Technology Executives
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, advanced degree a plus
• Demonstrated success partnering with senior management and executive stakeholders on critical hires
• Expertise in executive search methodologies, including market research, talent mapping, and competitive intelligence
• Strong experience structuring and negotiating complex compensation packages
• Exceptional consultation, influencing, and negotiation skills, with executive presence

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end executive recruiting for senior-level roles, managing a portfolio of 5–8 searches
• Partner with senior leaders to define role requirements and search strategies
• Conduct market mapping to identify target organizations and passive candidates
• Use data and insights to inform sourcing and positioning
• Develop bespoke candidate engagement strategies and long-term relationships
• Assess candidates for leadership capability, functional expertise, and cultural fit
• Provide guidance to executives and HR on market perspective and offers
• Lead offer strategy and negotiate complex compensation packages
• Collaborate with HR, Legal, and compensation to design competitive offers
• Engage external search firms selectively to align with strategy
• Deliver high-touch, confidential candidate experience and post-search analysis
