Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director, Private Client Services, to lead tax engagements for high net‑worth clients and guide a skilled team. You will serve as the primary client contact, manage complex returns, and drive strategic tax planning and advisory services across the firm’s PCS offerings.

You will mentor staff, oversee billing and training, and help expand PCS through business development and client relations. Strong leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or law.
• Expertise in private client service required.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA/EA/Attorney or equivalent credential required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with listed tax software and research tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads tax and consulting engagements and mentors the team.
• Acts as primary client contact for preparation and resolution.
• Reviews complex tax returns and provides feedback.
• Directs communications with government agencies on complex matters.
• Identifies issues, conducts tax research, and makes recommendations.
• Expands knowledge through client engagements and developments.
• Prioritizes work to keep engagements on track.
• Supports PCS/firm contributions including billing and training.
