Job summary

Rocket Farm Restaurants—The Optimist Nashville is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including production, prep, events, and stewarding. You will ensure menu items meet the highest standards while mentoring a diverse culinary team.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of progressive culinary experience, two in a Sous Chef role, and strong budget, labor and scheduling skills. Competitive salary plus quarterly bonus and full benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive culinary experience preferred.
• Two years in a Sous Chef capacity recommended.
• Ability to manage staff, budget, scheduling and labor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including production, prep, and stewarding.
• Direct private events and special functions; manage purchasing and receiving.
• Mentor culinary staff; run the kitchen in the Executive Chef's absence.
