Sodexo Live! is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef at the Charleston Convention Center in Charleston, WV.

This role leads culinary operations for large events and collaborates with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The position requires extensive high-volume kitchen leadership, menu development expertise, strong budget control, and a focus on food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role in large-scale/high-volume settings.
• Extensive culinary knowledge across cuisines and techniques; strong leadership.
• Strong organizational, time-management and cost-control abilities; food safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef in creating/modifying menus for client needs and dietary restrictions.
• Oversee food prep/presentation for large-scale events to meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with event managers to align food service with schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health/safety regulations and cleanliness.
• Manage kitchen budget, control food costs and waste reduction.
• Train, mentor and motivate kitchen staff for performance.
