Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen and food outlets, ensuring costs are minimized and standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

  1. Ensure all Omni Hotel and company policies are followed, and service standards are met within budgetary controls.
  2. Assist the Executive Chef with budgeting, including food costs and payroll, and report variances with recommendations for corrective actions.
  3. Advise the Executive Chef on kitchen matters and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  4. Ensure guest satisfaction through smooth daily operations.
  5. Control purchasing and receiving standards, working with the storeroom manager and food & beverage controller.
  6. Test and evaluate product quality, focusing on yield, market price, and wastage.
  7. Inspect all food service sections during operations to ensure standards are upheld.
  8. Manage equipment and schedule maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service and administrative roles preferred.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and similar programs; excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills—clear, positive, energetic.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a 4-star or higher establishment.
  • Serve Safe certified food manager.
  • Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
