University of Virginia’s Executive Search Group seeks a collaborative Search Consultant or Senior Search Consultant to lead executive and senior leadership searches across the University, health system, and affiliated foundations.

The role partners with university leaders and search committees, managing full-cycle searches and delivering a high-quality candidate experience in a hybrid work environment with regular in-person interviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in executive search, preferably in higher education or health care.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with discretion and sound judgment.
• Familiarity with ATS and talent acquisition technologies (Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, Qualtrics).
• Eligibility for the role without visa sponsorship at UVA.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive and senior leadership searches from launch through completion.
• Partner with university leaders and committees to develop descriptions and strategies.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement to understand priorities and culture.
• Identify and recruit nationally for diverse leadership talent.
• Design multi-stage interview processes and coordinate with committees.
• Manage candidate communications and support offer negotiations.
