Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Executive Project Developer to lead strategic project development across North America, uniting engineering, finance, and operations to shape high‑impact energy and infrastructure opportunities. You will coordinate regional teams, coach developers, and present to executive decision makers to drive alignment and value.

In this virtual, high‑visibility role, you’ll balance technical feasibility with financial performance, manage risk, and promote best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Management, Facilities Management, Architecture, Business, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience leading development of complex energy, infrastructure, facility modernization, design-build, ESPC, or capital improvement projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project development teams through opportunity qualification, audit development, solution development, financial evaluation, and contract execution.
• Strong understanding of building systems, energy conservation measures, facility infrastructure, constructability, and project implementation strategies.
• Experience developing and evaluating business cases, lifecycle cost analyses, financial models, project risks, and customer value propositions.
• Ability to lead and influence diverse teams without direct authority.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and executive engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategic Project Development for high-profile opportunities across North America.
• Oversee project development from qualification, audit development, solution development, financial evaluation, to contract execution.
• Mentor regional developers and strengthen development capabilities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Energy Engineers, and Operations to improve capabilities.
• Provide coaching and leadership to ensure successful development and execution of complex opportunities.
• Define customer objectives, prioritize investments, and align stakeholders around a common vision.
• Support executive presentations, customer workshops, and strategic planning discussions.
• Promote deployment of standard work and best practices across regions.
