Job description

The Executive Producer is responsible for growing and retaining a book of existing client business while delivering exceptional event experiences that earn long-term loyalty. This role owns organic account growth through proactive relationship development, consultative selling, and strategic account planning — while serving as the senior production leader from concept through execution. Executive Producers partner closely with Client Solutions Directors (CSDs) on new‑business opportunities and work hand‑in‑hand with the production team to develop scopes, budgets, and schedules that align with client objectives and SSI margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
Account Growth & Business Development
  • Own annual revenue targets for an assigned book of existing clients; forecast and report pipeline and growth metrics to leadership regularly
  • Develop and maintain formal account plans identifying whitespace, expansion opportunities, and competitive risks within each client relationship
  • Proactively map client organization meetings and capability reviews
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5–8+ years consultative B2B sales, in events/experiential, production, corporate event sales, and agency services; proven success with complex, multi‑stakeholder deals.
  • Quota attainment: consistent ≥100% to goal across the last 4–6 quarters; comfortable with revenue goals up to or in excess of $3M+ annual new revenue targets.
  • Pipeline management: ability to maintain 3–5× pipeline coverage, progress deals through defined stages, and forecast with in ±10% accuracy.
  • Discovery & solutioning: expert at translating business outcomes into scoped solutions and margin‑aware proposals with clear assumptions.
  • Negotiation & deal structuring: skilled with MSAs/SOWs, cancellation terms, risk allocation, and processes needed to identify new buyers, budget owners, and internal champions.
  • Technical fluency across AV/staging, lighting, audio, video/broadcast/streaming, scenic, graphics/content workflows, and venue logistics.
  • Financial ownership: builds and manages detailed budgets; tracks margin, approves SOWs and change orders, and leads post‑event reconciliation.
  • Project control: schedules, run‑of‑show, cueing, and show‑calling basics; aligns creative, technical, and teams.
  • Vendor/subcontractor management: bid/award process, labor planning, freight, and on‑site coordination with venues and unions where applicable.
  • Risk & compliance: site safety awareness, contingency planning, asset management, and client/brand standards.
  • Communication & client management: persuasive presenter; sets expectations, manages feedback cycles, and resolves issues under pressure.
  • Tools: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, basic spreadsheet modeling; project tools (e.g., Monday.com or equivalent).
  • Travel: willing and able to travel 30–40% for site visits, pre‑production, and events.
