Job summary

Tufts Medical Center in Boston seeks an experienced Senior Pharmacy Leader to oversee pharmacy services across inpatient, ambulatory, and investigational drug programs. You will partner with physician, nursing, and operations leadership to ensure safe, high‑quality, and financially responsible medication management.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years hospital pharmacy leadership experience is preferred.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist License is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and execution of pharmacy strategic, operational, workforce, and quality initiatives for Tufts Medical Center.
• Aligns departmental goals with organizational and system pharmacy strategies.
• Leads medication safety and quality improvement activities and performance measurement.
• Serves as the senior pharmacy advisor to medical center leadership on practice, medication-use systems, and workforce planning.
• Identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, patient outcomes, and departmental performance.
• Provides executive oversight for all pharmacy operations and clinical services, ensuring safe, effective medication management and clinical practice advancement.
• Partners with physician and nursing leadership to advance clinical, research, and educational missions; supports residency programs and scholarly activity.
• Manages departmental financial performance, budgets, productivity, and resource allocation; executes enterprise initiatives in supply chain and formulary management.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and talent development for pharmacy staff to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements and prepares for regulatory reviews.
• Represents Tufts Medical Center in system pharmacy governance and collaborates to advance priorities and digital transformation.
