Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a Pharmacy Leader to oversee Tufts Medical Center's inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy services, investigational drug services, and medication-use systems. The role partners with physicians, nurses, and system leaders to ensure safe, effective, and financially responsible medication management.

The position requires MA licensure, a PharmD preferred, and extensive hospital leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist License required.
• Five (5) years hospital pharmacy leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and execution of pharmacy strategic, operational, workforce, and quality initiatives.
• Aligns departmental goals with organizational and system strategies.
• Leads medication safety and quality improvement activities and performance measurement.
• Serves as senior pharmacy advisor to medical center leadership on practice and systems.
• Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and patient outcomes.
• Provides executive oversight for all pharmacy operations and clinical services.
• Partners with physicians, nursing, researchers, and departments to advance clinical, research, and education missions.
• Responsible for department financial performance including budgets and revenue initiatives.
• Provides leadership, coaching, mentoring, and talent development for staff.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
• Represents Tufts Medical Center in system governance and strategic initiatives.
