Job summary

Eastern Star Church is seeking an Executive Pastor of Discipleship and Experience to provide strategic leadership across all ministries, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision and spiritual direction.

The role partners with the Lead Pastor, ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers to foster a healthy ministry culture, leadership development, and transformational pathways for growth in faith and community.

Qualifications

• Theology degree is preferred for this role.
• An advanced degree in religious studies is desirable.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive ministry leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading staff and volunteers in multi-ministry or multi-campus environments.
• Experience working closely with executive leadership and senior pastoral leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and pastoral oversight for all church ministries and ministry operations.
• Ensure ministries align with the church's vision, mission, values and spiritual direction.
• Develop ministry structures, systems and leadership frameworks for effectiveness and growth.
• Lead ministry planning, strategic goal setting and implementation across ministries.
• Evaluate ministry effectiveness and recommend strategic improvements for impact.
• Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and executive leadership to execute the overall ministry vision.
