Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking an Associate Executive Operations Manager to act as an operational partner and backup to the Executive Operations Manager. You will provide advanced executive support, govern governance materials, and oversee executive office initiatives while handling confidential matters with discretion.

This on-site role is based at the TMG home office in West Des Moines, Iowa, with responsibilities spanning board coordination, executive calendars, travel, and ongoing projects to

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive executive support and governance experience.
• Experience supporting C-suite or CEO-level executives preferred.
• Experience coordinating Board meetings and governance materials.
• Paralegal or legal document familiarity is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Board meeting logistics, materials, and communications.
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and governance documents.
• Manage complex calendars, travel, and executive logistics for 2–3 executives.
• Track decisions, deadlines, and follow-ups; maintain discretion.
• Lead or support executive office projects from planning through completion.
• Provide backup leadership during absences as needed.
