Job summary

VTG Defense (McLean, VA) seeks an Executive Officer (EXO) to serve as the central coordination and administrative support resource for the leadership team within a high-profile division affecting national security.

The EXO will manage executive communications, track high-priority actions, facilitate leadership meetings, and optimize processes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of critical initiatives for senior government leaders.

Qualifications

• TS clearance with polygraph.
• 5+ years of experience supporting senior government leaders, program executives, or operational management teams.
• Minimum of 3+ years of direct experience working alongside senior government executives.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple competing priorities and tracking high-visibility actions.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to distill data into executive summaries.
• Advanced relationship-building capabilities across a diverse team.
• Flexibility to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion, sound judgment, and ability to handle sensitive information.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive support to leadership team and coordinate division priorities.
• Draft, edit, and package executive communications and reports.
• Coordinate, track, and execute ad-hoc taskers requiring rapid engagement.
• Create professional briefings, reports, and background papers for executives.
• Establish and refine administrative workflows to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate calendars, build agendas, and capture action items for leadership meetings.
