Job summary

Sheraton DFW Airport in Irving, TX is seeking an Executive Meetings Manager to generate new business and manage meetings, groups, and catering from inquiry to completion.

This role blends sales, client relationships, and event coordination to maximize revenue while delivering exceptional guest experiences; reports to the DOS and DOC. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel sales, catering, event management, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong sales, negotiation, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities with attention to detail.
• Experience with hotel sales or event management systems preferred.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with hotel teams.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business and manage assigned meetings, groups, and catering events from inquiry to completion.
• Respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, conduct site tours, convert leads into contracted business.
• Negotiate and execute contracts for local groups and catering functions.
• Manage events from booking through completion, including room setup, F&B, A/V, timelines, billing.
• Prepare and distribute BEOs and communicate event requirements to hotel departments.
• Serve as primary client contact ensuring event details meet expectations.
• Detail and manage group or catering business booked by others as needed.
• Conduct post-event follow-up and develop opportunities for repeat business.
• Maintain accurate sales, account, and event information in systems.
• Participate in sales initiatives and revenue-generating activities.
